I liked dean too, but then it was for gay rights... now I like Edwards because he's the only one who isn't playing dodge ball on National Health Care.

It says something about a person who pursues a canadicy when he's wife is dieing.

It drives me crazy when people ask, "Why are you so angry about this stuff? It's just politics." They don't seem to realize that politics is involved in everything we do in our lives. So, yes, I'm angry today that politics stopped the January 1st domestic partnership wedding of two friends of mine, and I would venture to say that anyone who wouldn't be angry under such circumstances isn't a real friend (or a believer in equality or human rights.)

Anger has a function - it's a motivator. It's bnot an end in itself. I think that's the thing people don't understand - they think our getting angry and spewing on our blogs or in conversation is the end - the goal. But for many of us, that's just the beginning.
